Paint Prepper
Job summary:
The Paint Prepper is responsible for assisting the paint team in getting vehicles and component parts ready for painting and contributing to the finished builds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-
Remove grease, dirt, paint, or rust from vehicle surfaces in preparation for paint application, using abrasives, solvents, brushes, or sanders.
-
Assist painter in pre-paint blending needs.
-
Masking and priming.
-
Work with paint team to assist in keeping vehicle on track for scheduled delivery time.
-
Fill small dents or scratches with body fillers and smooth surfaces.
-
Buff and wax the finished paintwork.
-
Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers and power equipment, using solvents, wire brushes, and cloths for cleaning duties.
-
Ensure there are no defects on work produced.
-
Clean and organize work area.
-
All other duties as assigned.
Desired Education and/or Experience:

2+ years of prior paint prepping experience in a professional shop

High school or GED

Production Assistant
Job summary:
The Production Assistant is responsible for a variety of fabrication duties relating to specialty trucks and trailers. Responsibilities may include a diverse set of fabrication duties ranging from metal work, wood work, electrical, plumbing and many other fabrication duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

Fabricate precision sheet metal parts and assemblies to specifications on detailed blueprints and production orders, or as instructed.

Framing interior and or exterior walls using metal or wood as specified by engineering drawings.
-
Running electrical and/or plumbing as needed.
-
Paint prep using sanders and other tools as needed.
-
Setup, run and adjust machine controls, tools and equipment to achieve size, finish and specified tolerances.
-
Analyze and adjust controls, tools, and fixtures to maintain quality levels during production, using precision measuring equipment and tools.
-
Work within a team to meet production needs in the sheet metal shop and other related areas.
-
Keep machines, equipment, and general work areas neat and orderly.
-
Maintain all related equipment, tools, and fixtures in proper storage locations.
-
Perform routine daily maintenance on equipment assigned work center(s).

Operate multiple machines within a work center.
-
Support a safe work environment.

1+ years of prior project management experience in a professional shop

Responsible for completion of all work on schedule.

Operate in a safe manner at all times.

Mechanic
Job summary:
The Commercial Truck Master Mechanic is responsible for maintaining diesel and gas vehicles and equipment by completing inspections and preventive maintenance; correcting deficiencies; keeping accurate records; and contributing to the finished builds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

Follow inspection procedures.
-
Determine vehicle conditions by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts.
-
Complete routine and preventive maintenance; install component and part upgrades; control corrosion; complete winterization procedures.
-
Correct vehicle deficiencies by repairing, overhauling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, transmissions, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, and hydraulics.
-
Machine shop operations; maintain bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.
-
Test drive vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and/or after repairs are made.
-
Read and interpret diagnostic test results from diagnostic equipment.
-
Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment by using hydraulic jacks or hoists.

Tighten bolts and screws, belt adjustments and attaching system components.

Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance

Comply with federal, state and local vehicle requirements and safety standards.
